Abstract
This report documents the work done to integrate indirect tax simulation into EUROMOD – the tax-benefit microsimulation model for the European Union – as part of the project “EUROMOD extension to indirect taxation”. The project was conducted jointly by the Department of Economics of the University of Leuven and the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Essex and was funded by the European Commission, Joint Research Centre (JRC), Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) via Contract No. 198961-2015 A10-UK. *** IMPORTANT NOTE: The Indirect Tax Tool (ITT) plug-in and coded policy rules described in the report are not yet available as part of the public versions of the software or model. ***
