The Irish country team have mainly used EUROMOD in cross country research on the topics of income distribution and labour supply. The team also develop and maintain the Irish tax-benefit model, SWITCH. The SWITCH model runs on a more detailed, but restricted access, national version of the SILC dataset. It can therefore model entitlement to non-cash benefits and includes an indirect tax component. The SWITCH model is funded by, and used in, five government departments. The Irish team are moving the SWITCH model to the EUROMOD platform to be used with the more detailed national SILC.
