Austria

National team

The Austrian national team are based at the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research in Vienna, which is a UN-affiliated intergovernmental organisation concerned with all aspects of social welfare policy and research.

The current team members are: Michael Fuchs, Leonard Geyer, Felix Groß-Wohlgemuth and Niki Kalavrezou.

The European Centre extensively uses EUROMOD both in the context of academic research and for policy analyses. Besides the annual EUROMOD update, European Centre staff is currently using the model within the following research projects:

• Study on Intergenerational Fairness (2020; funded by DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion).
• SORESI (SOcial REform microSImulation) (2012-2021; funded by Austrian Federal Ministry for Social Affairs).
• Distributional impact of asset contributions to residential care in Austria (2019-2020; supported by Anniversary Fund of the Austrian National Bank).
