National team

The Italian national team are based at the University of Milan and the University of Eastern Piedmont, in collaboration with the University of Turin, Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies (IRVAPP), the Centre for Industrial Studies (CSIL) and the Center for Research on Pensions and Welfare Policies (CeRP).

The current team members are:

  • University of Milan: Carlo Fiorio and Giovanna Scarchilli.
  • University of Eastern Piedmont: Francesco Figari (also Center for Research on Pensions and Welfare Policies) and Marcello Matranga.
  • University of Turin: Francesco Cellino.
  • Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies: Martina Bazzoli and Sonia Marzadro.

The national team is currently active in the following EUROMOD-related projects:

  • Welfare resilience at the onset of COVID-19 pandemic in Italy and Europe: impact on employment, public finance and household incomes financed by Collegio Carlo Alberto.
  • CIRCLE - Care and Income Redistributive Cycles in the Lives of Europeans financed by the Joint Programming Initiative “More Years, Better Lives”.
  • Analysis of the tax evasion and development of a behavioural microsimulation model, Ministry of Economics and Finance.
  • Study on Distributional Impact Assessment, Directorate-General for Employment, social affairs and inclusion.
