New EUROMOD public release (I5.0+)

A new public version of EUROMOD has been released!

The data request form and the links to download the new model and software can be found in the Access EUROMOD area on this website. New EUROMOD country reports and updated model documentation are also available.

What's new?

Compared to the previous public release (I4.0+) this one includes the following updates/changes:

POLICIES AND FUNCTIONALITIES

• New policy systems: 2022 [updated in relation to I4.109+].
• New uprating indices up to 2022 [updated in relation to I4.109+].
• Bug fixes and improvements in all country models.
• Full compatibility with UKMOD: inclusion of UK-specific variables in the variable list, exchange rates and harmonised price indices for the UK included in the corresponding tables.
• MAX/MIN/ABS functions recoded to Excel-like syntax for all countries, e.g. MAX(A,B) instead of A<MAX>B.
• Datasets correctly sorted in all relevant tables.

DATA

• New EUROMOD input data for 2020 (income reference year: 2019). Available for 26 countries (all except LU) [four additional ones in relation to I4.109+].
• Updated DRD codebook with all the variable names and definitions in the latest datasets for all countries.

ADD-ONS

• Add-ons updated to work with 2022 systems.
• Bug fix in the Marginal Tax Rates (MTR) add-on regarding the initialisation of variables within loops.

SOFTWARE

Model I5.0+ is released together with a new software version (3.5.8), which includes the following features in relation to the previous version publicly released (3.5.5):

• Core software:
  • Help file updated.
  • IlArithOp modified so that the generated variables are writable.
  • Uprating by regular expression modified to also match non-monetary variables.
  • Store function modified to support VarGroup and ILGroup parameters.

• Plugins:
  • Hypothetical Household Tool (HHoT):
    • New HHoT files (v1.2.11).
    • Several bug fixes and improvements.
