volcanoThe first workshop of the network on Welfare and Policy Analysis in Latin America and the Caribbean (WAPLAC), entitled “Welfare and policies in LAC: advances and challenges ahead”, will take place at the University of Costa Rica in San José on 9-10 May 2024.
 
The workshop aims to take stock of recent research on fiscal and welfare policies, inequality, wellbeing, labour market dynamics, support for democracy, and other social outcomes in LAC. Contributions from other world regions are also welcome, in particular those making use of tax-benefit microsimulation techniques.
 
The Keynote speaker for this workshop is Adriana Camacho (Universidad de los Andes, Colombia).
 
Deadline for application: 29 February
Notification of acceptance: 4 March
