EUROMOD Online gets an upgrade

We are pleased to announce the release of a brand new version of EUROMOD Online, an useful tool for research and policy analysis, as well as for training and educational purposes. EUROMOD Online is a web application which provides a simplified access to EUROMOD and allows the analysis of the fiscal and distributional impacts of tax reforms. Currently, EUROMOD Online is utilised by more than 300 different institutions, including universities, research centers, national authorities, European institutions, and international organizations.

Its update brings a range of new features and enhancements:

• New functionality for the calculation of tax-to-base elasticities. This new feature allows users to modify the income tax base by a chosen parameter, see the impact on revenues from income taxes, and obtain the corresponding elasticity, along with the standard indicators offered by EUROMOD Online.
• Simulation of inflation (prices) shocks for 2024 and 2025 systems.
• Update to 2025 systems based on EUROMOD model version J2.0+ (software version v.3.8.6) for all EU Member States which includes:
  • Personal Income Tax
  • Social Insurance Contributions
  • Family Benefits
  • Consumption Taxes (Specific Excises, Ad-Valorem Excises, VAT headline rates, and VAT rates by product category)
