We're pleased to share an upcoming seminar titled: “Household Demand Responses to Carbon Pricing by Energy Poverty Status: Evidence from Belgium”.

Speaker: Daniel Coppens d’Eeckenbrugge (Université catholique de Louvain)

Daniel is a PhD candidate in economics at Université catholique de Louvain and contributes to the development of Beamm, an open-access tax-benefit microsimulation model for Belgium. His research focuses on the distributional impacts of tax-benefit systems, with particular attention to how policies affect households differently.

The seminar will explore how households respond to carbon pricing depending on their energy poverty status, offering new evidence from Belgium and contributing to the broader discussion on the distributional consequences of climate policy.

Discussant: Prof. Cathal ODonoghue (FAcSS) (University of Galway)

Date: 24 March 2026

Time: 10:00 CET

Format: Online
